The Gifts of the Spirit ride on the wings of the Holy Spirit.

Charis is the Greek word for Grace and the root of both Charisma and Character.

The 2 wings of the Spirit of Grace are Charisma and Character

9 Fruit of the Spirit – Character:-

9 Gifts of the Spirit – Charisma:- 1 Corinthians 12:4 – 10

Gift of word of knowledge.

It is a word of God's knowledge for -

  • A particular season or time.

  • A particular person or people.

  • A particular purpose or need or place.

It is not a gift of being able to know a lot, or

An increase of your intelligence, and it does not come through study.

3 levels of knowledge

Human knowledge ……...Observed through life experience

Biblical knowledge ……. Learned through teaching

Word of knowledge ……. Revealed by the Holy Spirit of God

7 Purposes for Word of Knowledge

  • Reveal cause of sickness or oppression.
  • Reveal God's place of meeting.
  • Reveal root problems in counselling.
  • Reveal secrets of men's hearts.
  • Give insight into people's lives.
  • Reveal lost people or property.
  • Reveal visit of God's messenger.

How the word of knowledge comes?

This Gift can come through impartation by the laying on of hands, by prophetic declaration or by asking and receiving by prayer.

How to operate in this Gift?

This Gift can come in the flow of prophecy, as specific details within the prophetic word.

It could refer to things in the Past, Present or Future that are revealed to you and alert this person to the reality of God and that God is speaking to you about things you would not otherwise know about them.

This can act as the key to this person's heart, and they begin to open to you.

The Word of Knowledge could be of a sin that needs to be repented of someone that needs to be forgiven or a need of restoration.

It could come some time before you meet this person and reveal when and how to meet this person.

In a practice session in your Church meeting, under the supervision of your leaders you can Pray in the Spirit, go quiet and listen for what the Holy Spirit will reveal to you.

  • R ….. Revelation – Picture, word, x-ray picture, vision, pain.
  • I …. Interpretation – How does this apply in this situation?
  • D.….. Delivery – Look for further evidence, ask questions.
  • E ….. Equip – Know how to minister further to this person.

It could be a: -

  • Word / scripture / memory
  • Picture / vision / dream
  • Feeling or pain in body

Impartation

Let us pray now for an impartation of this Gift into your life and ministry.

Based on Mark 11:22-24, as we pray, we believe the Gifts of the Holy Spirit are now being imparted to all the students on this seminar, so we thank you Father God for pouring out your Spirit upon them to equip them for service, in Jesus Name, amen.

Activations

  • Pray in the Spirit for several minutes and then go quiet, begin to listen for Revelation from the Holy Spirit.
  • If you are in a group, ask if anyone relates to the Revelation you have, and then begin to pray for them.
  • If you are on your own, then ask the Lord who this revelation refers to, and commit to contact them so that you can ask them if they relate to it and if they will let you pray for them.
  • Write down the Revelations, the date and time you received them and add any further revelations that come relating to this situation because this may be for some time in the future, when you have the opportunity to pray for this person.
